    In a few words ...

Created in honor of vineyard renovator Raphaël Gazaniol, this is the Château's prestige cuvée. Produced from a selection of the oldest vines (40 years on average) and the best plots on the estate, it has been aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The barrels are 30% new, for a harmonious woodiness that leaves plenty of room for fruit.

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

    Very deep garnet-red color.

    Aroma

The nose delivers a lot of freshness, with fruity notes of ripe cherry blended with a fine, subtle woodiness.

    Taste

This cuvée always presents wines of great density and concentration, with fine tannins that, while present, are mellow and uncluttered. They are finely wooded but not excessively so, leaving plenty of room for fruit.

A fine wine with a lovely woodiness. It also has a nice freshness developed by an appreciable fruitiness.

This Bordeaux from the "entre eux mers" region is a very pleasant, faultless wine that can be opened without question. Good balance, well-integrated tannins, deserves a little aeration. Good value for money.

A classic Bordeaux that's very pleasant, especially at this price! Already ready but can/should wait a few more years ;-). This review is written mid-2022.

Tasted in May 2022. A remarkable Bordeaux! It shows a fine balance between velvety tannins and a beautiful concentration of fruity aromas.

Through a friend, I used to order cases of Château Parenchere every year, but then this person left the region! By chance, I came across a Raphaël cuvée and its recognizable "blue" design. I'm completely satisfied to have rediscovered the taste of this cuvée.

Well-balanced wine, long on the palate, and well-structured, impeccable value for money.
