The winemaker

Purchased in 1996, Chateau Boutisse is managed by Xavier Milhade. It is located in the town of Saint Christophe des Bardes, one of the best cities of the AOC Saint-Emilion. The area is quite large for the appellation with 23 hectares planted with Merlot. Large investments have been made in the vineyard since 1996 with several plots entirely replanted vineyards. Castle Boutisse has an exceptional terroir, made of limestone and clay. In addition, some plots have a beautiful southern exposure while others are planted on hillsides.
