The winemaker

Château Cantemerle is a Grand Cru Classé 1855 that marked the history of the Médoc. In the Middle Ages, it was, with other castles, fortification line that defended the region. The first traces of vines in the castle dates back to 1354. The vineyard has had 2 family: Villeneuve Durfort present of 1579 to 1892 and Dubois 1892 to 1981. The area is now managed by ADM group that chooses to invest in this high potential not yet tapped. This rich heritage is reflected both in the singular architecture of the castle in the beautiful park surrounding it. This beautiful set contributes to the romantic charm and magic emanating from this winery.
