The winemaker

Legend has it that today's Château Cissac, a magnificent 18th-century Carthusian monastery, was built on the remains of a Roman villa. In any case, the cultivation of vines is a centuries-old family tradition. Wine is first and foremost an expression of pleasure. It must have its own personality, a character that reflects the history of its terroir and the know-how of the winemaker. Château Cissac wines are racy and distinctive, combining the strength of the Médoc with the aromatic elegance of the greatest Bordeaux wines. They are distinguished by their depth of color, and a subtle balance between cherry and plum aromas, mixed with licorice and smoke...
