The winemaker

Alphonse Banchereau is the first owner of the domain known later many wine before the arrival in 1855 of Antoine Lair. It was during this period that the castle has built his entire reputation. Its wines are considered nectars and the Pessac-Léognan is his kingdom. Its white wines are named Cru Classé de Graves in 1959. A few years later, however, the owner wants to tear the vineyard. Alerted by this, André Lurton took part in his backup before acquiring over the years.
