The winemaker

A family property since the late 19th century, Château David is run with passion and rigor by Sabine Coutreau, the fifth generation of winegrowers. Located in the commune of Vensac, at the northernmost tip of the Médoc peninsula, Château David is one of the most northerly estates in the Médoc appellation. Cradled between two waters, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Gironde Estuary to the east, and enjoying a mild, temperate climate, Château David has succeeded in making the most of the qualities of its terroir.
