Château de la Croix is a 32-hectare family estate that has been handed down from generation to generation. Today, the estate is run by the fifth generation of the Fransisco family.
The name of the estate is explained by the cross at the entrance to the village. It served as a landmark for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. The estate is located in the heart of the Médoc and produces Médoc appellation wines. It has been part of the renowned Crus Bourgeois du Médoc list since 1932. The estate benefits from a climate well-suited to vine-growing, cradled by the winds of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde estuary.
The fifth generation of the Fransisco family has been at the helm of the estate since 2010, continuing the tradition of savoir-faire. The family crafts its wines with respect for the environment, driven by the desire to produce wines that reflect their terroir. The family slogan is: "One Family, One Terroir, One Passion".
