Château de Respide

4
(88 customer reviews)
Château de Respide is one of the oldest wine estates in the Graves, a historic Bordeaux appellation. The estate was founded under Louis XIV. Later, it was visited by the painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who loved its white wines. Today, the Bonnet family manages the vineyard established on quality terroirs, deep gravel, sandy clay and clay-limestone, with a constant concern for the environment, providing spaces and nesting boxes for wildlife, in order to preserve bio diversity. The winemaker

Château de Respide ranks among the oldest vineyards in the Graves in the Bordeaux region. It was in 1952 that the grandfather of the current owner Mr. Bonnet took over the reins of the estate. It is now his grandson Franck Bonnet and his great-granddaughter who watch over the vineyard. This estate combines tradition and modernity, mixing new cultural and oenological practices, testing new technologies in order to be in a constant renewal.

This family of winegrowers is deeply attached to the terroir they work with on a daily basis and is driven by the desire to produce wines that reflect their particular Bordeaux region. The estate produces expressive, rich and elegant wines with respect for the environment. Respide is certified High Environmental Value 3 and makes wines recognised for their quality and accessibility.
