The winemaker

Château Doyac is located on the limestone bedrock of Saint-Seurin de Cadourne. On these beautiful hilltops with gentle south-facing slopes, Max de Pourtalès, with his wife Astrid and oenologist daughter Clémence, produces a biodynamic Cru Bourgeois Supérieur red wine certified Demeter since the 2019 vintage, combining structure and finesse. He also produces a biodynamic 100% Sauvignon Blanc white wine.

Its terroir planted with 75% Merlot, 15% Cabernet franc and 10% Cabernet sauvignon gives Château Doyac a remarkably round character, making it a worthy representative of the great wines of the Médoc (close to the best St Estèphe and adjoining Châteaux Sociando-Mallet and Charmail).
