The winemaker

We are a 100% feminine vineyard, sisters, winegrowers and beekeepers, we took over the property which has been run by our family for 5 generations. Château du Puy-Faure, on the right bank of the Dordogne, in the village of Aubie-Espessas, is on a terroir of some fifteen hectares. The Merlot, Cabernet and Malbec grape varieties thrive particularly well here! The estate is undergoing agroecological conversion, with the planting of hedges and copses around the plots and the property, the introduction of some twenty beehives, the cessation of weedkiller use, soil conservation agriculture and the development of beekeeping. We produce a Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellation red wine, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, vinified in the traditional way. But we also make rosé, Pink Faure, as well as clairet, the region's traditional light wine, somewhere between rosé and red, drunk chilled, which the English loved when they first arrived in Bordeaux. And our latest addition, Pet'Nat', of which we are particularly proud, was released for the first time in spring 2024! Anne-Laure and Pauline
