The winemaker

Halfway between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gironde, Château Escot takes full advantage of the unique terroir of the Médoc, the jewel in the crown of Bordeaux vineyards. Planted in clay, sand and gravel, cooled by the ocean winds or, on the contrary, protected and warmed by the moors, the vines draw from the earth and sky ideal conditions for their development. As a result, the wines are full of nuances, rich in the finest aromas of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This organoleptic palette is made all the more beautiful by the fact that the Rouy family, owners of the estate, work with great finesse, harvesting at night and vinifying cold to keep all the berries' aromas intact. The result is structured wines that are seductive when young, and increasingly elegant with age.
