Characteristics of the Château Fleur La Mothe terroir and vineyard


Château Fleur La Mothe is located in the Bordeaux vineyards, in Pauillac in the heart of the Médoc. The clay-limestone soil, enriched with Médoc gravel, produces round, fine, silky wines. For the red wine, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon share the land equally, with the addition of Petit Verdot.

The Château Fleur La Mothe estate wines


The wines are AOC Médoc. The estate produces red wines: Château Fleur La Mothe, Jardin de la Fleur La Mothe and Château Villa Carmin; a rosé: Jardin Rosé and a white wine: Le Jardin Blanc. The combination of grape varieties produces well-balanced, garnet-colored, slightly tannic red wines. The best vintages for Château Fleur La Mothe, cru bourgeois, are 2012, 2015 and 2020.
