The winemaker
The Château Grand Baril and Réal Caillou estate
The Libournais terroir is composed of a large limestone plateau sedimented by ancient rivers over three million years ago. This soil is ideal for the multiple grape varieties of Bordeaux wines, which, thanks to the microclimate, offer such distinctive aromatic bouquets. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are grown here.
The wines of Château Grand Baril and Réal Caillou
Specializing in red wines, Château Grand Baril et Réal Caillou offers several cuvées. The "Lalande-de-Pomerol", a wine for ageing, is intense and woody, with toasty tannins on the palate. The more fragrant Montagne-Saint-Émilion offers a wide range of flavors.
