The winemaker

Chateau Grand Destieu belongs to Fabienne Lagoubie since 2013. After having several activities (banking, web, management of family property), Fabienne Lagoubie decided to embark alone in the adventure. Chateau Grand Destieu is a 4-hectare area located on the western part of Saint Emilion. The floors are made of gravel and sand. The grape varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The conduct of our vineyard is rational, no chemical weed control is practiced. Harvesting is done by hand in small crates. Aging wine is made in oak barrels for a part. "The Great Destieu Castle is in the municipality of Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens, in the southwest of the Saint-Emilion. It is the property of a certain Denis Thibaud working with Flavie Le Bouc, head of the field. Its vineyards cover less than 4 hectares and produce 10,000 bottles each year. They are harvested by hand after a responsible and careful viticulture to produce a sound field in a logic low yields. In the cellar, the wood is in the spotlight.
