The winemaker

The operation makes a total of 13.4 ha, 8 ha in Saint Emilion Grand Cru, 5.4 ha in Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux. The property belongs to the same family since the fifteenth century. Jérôme de Monteil and Beatrice have over the reins in January 2010 and make every effort to produce high quality wines with the help of the oenologist Thomas Duclos. For this property has a beautiful soil on the hillsides south southeast exposed in the immediate vicinity of three Grands Crus St Emilion. The plot of the appellation Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation key St Emilion. We attach great importance in the vineyard to respect the environment: Soil avoiding weed killer, not pesticide use, seedling establishment such as oats and barley for soil fertilization. Pest for treatments. After manual sorting of the grapes winemaking takes place without sulfur additions. The wine is in barrels of French oak, 50% new and 50% one wine, for a period of between 12 and 15 months depending on the vintage.
