The winemaker

Chateau La Cabanne is a vineyard of 10 hectares located on the grave of the western slope of the Upper Terrace at the geographical center of Pomerol. They grow vine since Gallo-Roman times, but the origin of the name is also a locality dates back to the fourteenth century where we saw here and there isolated huts, houses serfs and settlers. The clay and gravel ground basement clinker (concretion of sand and iron) and encépagement (92% Merlot - 8% Cabernet Franc) gave, after macerated for twenty days and aging in new casks dowel ( wood unsawn split oak), a colored wine ripe cherries hues (dominant characteristics of the wine of Merlot) with black highlights having wild shades aging.
