The winemaker

Châteaux Méric and Chante l'Oiseau are 2 family estates located 18 km south of Bordeaux. They are located in the heart of the Graves appellation, in the oldest traditional wine-growing region of Bordeaux, which enjoys an exceptional location. 7 generations have succeeded one another on these lands. Our wines have always been produced organically, and have been certified AB since 1964. The estate covers 40 hectares, including 36 hectares of vines (30 hectares of reds and 6 hectares of whites). We make our wines from a variety of grape varieties, Sémillon and Sauvignon for the whites, and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds, which give our wines their inimitable warm, fruity taste. In our cellars, quality is maintained by constant and rigorous care, as evidenced by the limpidity and brilliance of our wines. Our wines are essentially fruity and delicate. SCEA Vignobles Barron is now on its way to continue the long and beautiful path of this beautiful family business, still driven by the same convictions of organic farming to preserve nature, animals and human beings for a healthy life. "We are committed to growing our produce without chemical fertilizers, synthetic organic pesticides or chemical weedkillers, on land fertilized with organic fertilizers, rock powders, sediments and seaweed. Our crops are treated only with mineral products and plant extracts."
