The winemaker

Dominique and Marie-Hélène Hessel bought this field in 1977. The both have strong roots wine: it comes from a family settled for 5 centuries, the castle Annereaux in the Lalande-de- Pomerol, as she comes from a family who cultivated vineyards in Algeria and then moved to the Château d'Arsac. They are now at the head of a 25-hectare estate which occupies the highest ridge of Moulis. In the vineyards, Dominique and Marie-Hélène have chosen to rational control, controlled yields and respect for the tradition to make wines that fully express their terroir. The estate, which included the classification of Cru Bourgeois since 1932, continues on the same path of excellence with its new owners who were able to stay the course.
