The winemaker

Castle Teynac is part of the famous vineyards of Saint-Julien appellation. With a similar terroir at Chateau Beychevelle, the wines of this small family owned eleven hectares are highly sought after by fans. The vineyards are located almost entirely on the set of Beychevelle St-Julien, "mixed" with those illustrious neighbors. Far from merely the prestige of the appellation, Chateau Teynac enjoys an own philosophy, attentive care enabled by its reasonable size, and material equipment of high level. The philosophy of the castle is characterized moderate and predictable pricing, a slight insensitivity to passing trends in winemaking, and above all a determined quality policy. e Teynac vineyard is located on the most beautiful gravelly Saint Julien, on soil of the village of Beychevelle, landlocked in the middle of the Classified Growths which occupy 90% of the area of ​​the appellation. Saint Julien is an enclave between north and Pauillac AOC Haut Médoc Lamarque Lussac and south. Two rivers (Jalles) constitute natural boundaries. In Médoc, Saint-Julien is the right balance in all respects with the specific micro climate and unique soil, made up exclusively of middle terraces serious. Therefore, the wines of Saint-Julien express the perfect balance between finesse of Margaux and Pauillac bodied.
