The winemaker

The origin of the wine estate Château Tronquoy-Lalande, in the heart of the Saint-Estèphe, dates back to the eighteenth century. Several families of successive owners until in 2006 Martin and Olivier Bouygues redeem the property, having acquired a few months ago the famous Grand Cru neighbor Château Montrose. They immediately decide on a major refurbishment of the vineyard and farm buildings in compliance with the charm of the site and its architecture. Under the direction of Hervé Berland, Yves Delsol, the operations manager, and his team are committed to working with precision the terroir of Château Lalande-Tronquoy, made serious deep clay overlooking the estuary of the Gironde. In area of ​​30 hectares, the vineyard produces a typical red wine from Saint-Estèphe, recognized among the best in the appellation, which melted tannins, spicy aromas and a long chews give a well defined style. Since 2011, a hectare of vineyard, located in the upper part of the plateau of the property is dedicated to the production of Tronquoy-Lalande White. With great finesse, this wine has a real personality aromatic white flowers and citrus. The Tronquoy-Lalande Castle wines seduce know from their youth and gain elegance after several years of aging.
