The winemaker

In early 1900, Mr. F. Desire, Diffonty planted his first vines on different parcels of what was to become in 1933 the first AOC in France, Chateauneuf du Pape. Since then, the winery has expanded considerably with Rémy Diffonty. Today, the fifth generation, the brothers Joel and Pascal Diffonty sharing the tasks, the cellar for the first part and the vineyard for the second part. The area is in the center of the appellation, on the hill Terres Blanches overlooking the village of Chateauneuf du Pape and the remains of his castle. The view is breathtaking and even door to the Rhone, the sublime and magnificent Palais des Papes and the bottom Alpilles. Alongside the wine, the estate also produces extra virgin olive oil very fragrant and fruity, obtained by cold pressing. Miles olive trees planted in the exceptional and exclusive setting of the Sainte Victoire mountain, near Aix en Provence.
