Chateau La Rose Pauillac covers 60 hectares, planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, as well as Petit Verdot and Malbec. The aromas are highly flattering. Pauillac wines combine finesse and powerful tannins, the corollary of which is exceptional ageing potential.
The geographical area of Pauillac lies in the heart of the Médoc peninsula. The terroir is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines have an intense, deep color. The nose offers aromas of red and black fruits, spicy notes and hints of roasting. This bouquet is supported by a fine tannic structure. The 1976 vintage produced wines that were often rich in alcohol and dry. The high temperatures and lack of water produced sugar, but blocked the ripening of the tannins.
