    In a few words ...

Classified in both white and red, Château Latour-Martillac is situated on a beautiful undulating gravel terroir. It has belonged to the Kressmann family since 1929, and is now managed by Tristan and Loïc Kressmann. With the recent acquisition of parcels previously farmed out, the estate now covers 50 hectares, 40 of which are planted with red Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (35%) and Petit Verdot. The remaining 10 hectares are reserved for whites of Semillon (50%), Sauvignon (45%) and Muscadelle. J. Suckling: 93-94/100

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

The wines have a dense but lighter robe than the medoc. The hue is ruby with a touch ranging from purple to brick depending on the evolution.

    Aroma

The bouquet is often fruity, with currant and other red and black fruits to which are added smoked or roasted notes.

    Taste

Composed on average of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, the red wines of Pessac-Léognan make a good compromise between marked tannins and the greediness of the fruit. We thus find red and ripe fruits, and empyreumatic notes.

Sublime! An intense color and a bouquet of black fruits and spices. On the palate, fine tannins and good length. A wine to enjoy with mature cheeses or duck breast!

Tasted in April 2018 at its best. Well-balanced, silky wine, the wood is present but not too much. This is a very good Bordeaux, a constant at Latour-Martillac.

A fine, refined, well-structured Pessac-Léognan with ripe fruit, smooth tannins and a lingering finish.

Powerful, racy with a fine tannic structure. Will benefit from several more years in the cellar
