    Produced in the vineyards of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou wines are powerful, silky and highly aromatic. They are produced in the Saint-Julien AOC area. They are blends of predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with the addition of Merlot Noir and Petit Verdot. They express the terroirs of Ducru-Beaucaillou. They are aged for 12 months in barrels containing two-thirds new wood. These wines are cuvées of excellence, seducing wine-lovers with their nose, finesse and balance.

    Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

    Aroma

    The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.

    The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.

    The appellation Saint-Julien is part of the region of Bordeaux from France which include Château Ducru-Beaucaillou and its 67 cuvées. Spread over 80% red wines, but also 11% white wines, 9% rosé, this region is 6 million hectolitres per yer (80% red wines + white wines (dry, sweet and fortified), clairet and crémant rosés).
