    In a few words ...

The vineyard is located in the heart of the St Julien terroir. On one of the most beautiful gravelly hilltops in the Garonne region, facing the Gironde, the clay-gravel subsoil perfectly regulates the vagaries of the year's climate. Ploughing is traditional, with no weeding or herbicides. The vines are planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon (74%), Merlot (23%) and Cabernet Franc (3%). Vintage blend: 85% Cabernet-Sauvignon - 15% Merlot

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

    Aroma

The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.

Wine Empyreumatic | Fruity | Smoked

    Taste

The wines of Saint-Julien are famous for mixing the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. We will find therefore structured tannins with a note of black fruits important that will give an interesting overall balance.

An extraordinary wine. The class of great Bordeaux, the price is certainly a deterrent today but as I bought it almost 20 years ago, I have no regrets.
