In a few words ...
The climat's name probably comes from a distortion of the word "perreuse" (stone), the name of the ancient paved Roman road that linked Chablis to Maligny and passed at the foot of today's Preuses. The total surface area of the "Preuses" is around 11 ha, and our parcel is 0.25 ha, renewed a few years ago with a planting density increased to 8500 p/ha, favoring competition between vines to the benefit of smaller, highly concentrated grapes. The plot is located in the immediate vicinity of La Moutonne, on the edge of the climate zone. Single Guyot pruning. The soil is clayey with many pebbles, facing South-South-West.
