The winemaker

The history of the estate

The Chantal Lescure estate was born in the heart of the Burgundian landscape in 1975. Chantal Lescure quickly developed her estate and became known throughout France and the world for the gustatory and organoleptic qualities of her wines. Following her death, her two sons, Aymeric and Thibault, took over the estate and perpetuated the family legacy.

Today, the estate produces 19 vintages each year from 35 parcels. Aymeric and Thibault's only guideline is the production of authentic and transparent wines, expressing their terroir in the purest way.

A love of the terroir and the product

The vineyard is led in organic agriculture since its creation, but the certification will be obtained in 2009 by Aymeric and Thibault. It is the desire to produce wines that best express the terroir that led the estate to implement this viticulture that respects the entire ecosystem that encompasses the property.

Vinification is gentle and tailor-made to respect the particularities of each terroir. Aging is practiced on lees, in Burgundy pieces and in 500 liter barrels.

The wines

The Pommard 1er Cru les Bertins offers a deep ruby purple color, a nose of red and black fruits as well as notes of leather, spices and animal. On the palate, there is a nice structure and elegant tannins. Enjoy with beef steak, lamb or poultry stew.

The Chantal Lescure "Les Suchots" vintage is produced in the Vosne-Romanée appellation. Fond and seductive, this wine offers a nose of crisp red fruits and blackcurrant. In the mouth, there is a powerful structure and tight tannins. Decant well before tasting and age in the cellar.

The Pommard les Vignots cuvée is distinguished by a deep ruby purple color and a nose of red and black fruits. One can also distinguish some spicy and venison notes. On the palate, there is a nice roundness as well as a structure that asserts itself with a little bit of ageing. Perfect with tasty meat or poultry.
