The winemaker
This estate, planted with vines since at least the Middle Ages, was bought in 1936 by Jean Baudot, an arboriculturist, who uprooted the vines to plant fruit trees - mainly apples and pears. His high-end fruit business did very well. With no successor, Mr. Baudot decided to sell his property to a young winemaker so that the Clos could be replanted with vines.
Vincent bought the estate in 1985 to work alongside his father Henri in developing the business. The 5 hectares of land were planted with a very rigorous selection of Pinot Noir. At the same time, we have rejuvenated our Chardonnay and Aligoté vines, which express themselves particularly well on the stony soil of the "Reviller" locality.
Today, Sylvie and Vincent manage 13 hectares of vines. We're constantly striving to improve, investing in new equipment, spending a lot of time in the vines, and taking particular care of our wines in the winery or on the estate (barrels).
