The winemaker

Ferret Estate is located in the heart of Fuissé and historical product of this appellation wines. Founded in 1840, it was the first area to bottle at the property just after the Second World War. In addition, the prominence of some soils by patchy winemaking identified early climates deemed most purposes: Vintage Head and Out of Class, a precursor model at the title. Led by Jeanne and Colette Ferret for more than half a century, it now belongs to Louis Jadot who wishes to continue this work in the same spirit and rigor. The vineyards owned represent a total of 17 hectares on the Pouilly Fuissé (including 13 in the auditorium of Fuissé and 4 near the Rock of Vergisson) are remarkably Terroirs located and age of the vines combined with reasonable returns can produce Exceptional champagnes. The field is growing, a move towards a more friendly viticulture environment is ongoing. The harvest is done manually and the first conscientious sorting is made in the vineyard.
