The winemaker

Established in Nuits-Saint-Georges in 1596, the Dufouleur family has a rich heritage in Burgundy wine. Today, Guy and Yvan, father and son in the 13th and 14th generations, look after the family's 30 hectares of vines, spread over 11 appellations. Organic since 2000, the domaine produces around 160,000 bottles a year, limiting yields through responsible and meticulous harvesting. As head winemaker, Yvan combines the ancestral methods he learned from his father with modern viticulture, to create an authentic wine that reflects its terroir.
