The winemaker

Domaine Armand Heitz is located in Chassagne-Montrachet, and boasts such prestigious names as Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Meursault, Volnay, Beaune and Chevalier-Montrachet. This precious heritage drives the domaine to pursue this terroir culture every day, so that the wines tell the story of where they come from. The story begins in 1857 with the Nié-Vantey family, owners of vineyards stretching from Santenay to Clos de Vougeot. In 1912, Georges Lochardet, a Côte de Beaune wine merchant, married Marcelle Nié, sole heiress of the Nié-Vantey family. Their son, Armand Lochardet, preserved the family heritage before passing it on to his children. In 2012, Armand Heitz, Armand Lochardet's grandson, founds Domaine Heitz-Lochardet in Chassagne-Montrachet. 2018: the adventure begins in the Beaujolais region with the installation of domaine de la Combe-Vineuse in Juliénas. Domaine Armand Heitz works daily to reduce inputs and the environmental impact of our activity. Numerous experiments are underway to constantly optimize the health of our terroirs. We have strong agronomic resources at our disposal, enabling us to monitor the benefits of our practices. In 2020, Loaris, our permaculture micro-farm, came into being. Every day, we cultivate our bond with the earth.
