He has created an estate where, under his own name, he vinifies his own cuvées in renowned southern Côte de Beaune appellations such as Meursault, Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet. The winemaker

The producer


Dominique Lafon comes from a large family of Burgundy winegrowers and is today recognized as one of Burgundy's finest winemakers.

He worked with his father before taking over from him. Like his father, he has devoted his life to developing the family estate, and is an advocate of viticulture that respects the environment, terroirs and people. He was also a pioneer in the use of Biodynamic techniques for vineyard care.

The wines


Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Champ Gain Dominique Lafon is a 100% Chardonnay white with a complex aromatic bouquet combining hazelnut, hawthorn, green apple and almond paste with lactic nuances of butter and warm croissant. This harmonious, elegant wine is the perfect accompaniment to leek risotto or grilled lobster.

Beaune Premier Cru les Grèves Dominique Lafon is a 100% Pinot Noir red wine with a bright, vivid scarlet color. The nose blends aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, redcurrant and cherry with vegetal notes of undergrowth and humus. This organic wine is full-bodied and firm on the palate. It has a fine structure and pairs well with grilled meats, game or a platter of characterful cheeses.

Bourgogne Chardonnay Dominique Lafon is a white wine with a crystalline color. It's a floral wine offering aromas of acacia and hawthorn, with a mineral note of flint. The finish is long and lively. It delivers in its youth and is best enjoyed with a chocolate dessert or vegetable tart.

Volnay Premier Cru Les Lurets Dominique Lafon is an elegant and refined 100% Pinot Noir red wine, labeled organic. Its delicate ruby color has lighter garnet highlights. The nose is floral, fruity and spicy, with an aromatic palette combining redcurrant, violet and cherry, with nuances of cooked prune and spicy notes. This is a highly aromatic, complex and concentrated wine with a fresh, fruity mouthfeel. Perfect with lacquered poultry, pheasant terrine or tagine.

The Meursault Dominique Lafon is a Chardonnay offering an atypical and highly successful expression of this grape variety. This racy, elegant white wine is a benchmark for its appellation.
