A major Côte de Nuits appellation, both in terms of size and reputation, Gevrey-Chambertin is characterized by a great diversity of terroirs. No white wine is produced here, only pinot noir. The vines grow on marl covered with scree and red silt from the plateau. These gravels give the wine elegance and finesse, while the marls, rich in fossil shells and clay, give it body and firmness.

Excellent for Gevrey lovers! The domaine is formidable in all its appellations, but for this millesime I recommend cellaring and savoring this bottle around 2023, when it will be all the better. But at 5 years of age, it's already formidable for my taste.
