The winemaker

The history of Jaffelin merges with that of the Collegiate Notre Dame de Beaune. Over the centuries, their cellars housed the wines of the Collegiate and princes of the Church. The cellars of Chapter change ownership in 1816, when the brothers created their Jaffelin trading house. Today, as there are eight centuries, the wines rest in the monastic tranquility of Chapter cellars. Jaffelin, the smallest of the big houses of Burgundy as she likes to say, wrote a new chapter in its history in 2004 with a winery completely restored and equipped with the most accurate tools. It is in this magical place located in the historic center of Beaune as Marinette Garnier, our oenologist winemaker, develops vintages "hand sewn". Since then, Jaffelin has continued to sublimate the best terroirs of Burgundy through a comprehensive collection of great wines awarded in prestigious competitions and appreciated by connoisseurs worldwide.
