The Colin Seguin house is a veritable standard-bearer in its wine-growing region: Burgundy. Yet it was very difficult to make a name for oneself in a landscape marked by the excellence and quality of its wines. That's exactly what Pierre Colin, the founder of this group, set out to achieve, and the company is now recognized throughout France. Today, it offers a wide range of cuvées, not only from Burgundy... Find out more

The winemaker

The history and vision of Maison Colin Seguin

Pierre Colin had a dream: to make a living from his passion for wine. As a wine lover, he gained valuable experience in the Burgundy vineyards. He put this experience to good use and decided to launch his own venture in a region where competition was fierce. With his trademark idea of excellence in mind, Pierre Colin founded his own company in 2005. Naturally, he decided to stay in Burgundy, and set up in the heart of the vineyards in Nuits Saint Georges. A prestigious appellation recognized the world over, Maison Colin Seguin is taking advantage of all the buzz around it to establish itself among the greats. Pierre vinified great Burgundies, taking into account the richness of the terroir. He becomes increasingly precise with each vintage, mastering every stage of production right through to bottling. Once bottling is complete, it's clear that nothing is left to chance for our protagonist. Rigorous work and determination in every respect, he creates a diversified range to show that Burgundy still has a lot to offer. Pierre Colin attaches great importance to the emotions he can arouse through his cuvées, which drives him to always do more and better. Thanks to his know-how, he emphasizes the characteristics of the grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir), but also of Burgundy's famous micro-climate. The wines are incomparable, as if out of time, demonstrating the full complexity of the terroir...

The terroir and wines of Maison Colin Seguin

Ideally located, Maison Colin Seguin is home to some great treasures. Some of the finest appellations are represented in this cellar at the northern entrance to the town. Enjoy a tasting of Auxey-Duresses, Bouzeron, Mâcon-villages and Saint Véran... It's the perfect way to discover a range of quality wines from all corners of Burgundy. But the Maison has been changing in recent years, because while it was created as a wine merchant, vinifying wines from the region, it is increasingly becoming a domaine in its own right. Since 2013, the estate is now 100% committed to making its own wines, with new equipment but also grapes coming only from its own plots. Pierre Colin relies on the vines that he owns and complements this with the purchase of grapes or musts. He also has an influence on the Beaujolais region, vinifying Morgon, Saint-Amour, Juliénas and other wines. Although the domaine seems destined to continue on its own, it is important to note that it is part of the Domaines & Villages group created by Pierre Colin in 2005. Through this group, over 200 wines are offered for direct sale. Other regions are also featured, such as Bordeaux and Languedoc...
