Savigny is an old, typically Burgundian winegrowing village, just a stone's throw north of Beaune. Today, the Savigny-les-Beaune appellation is divided between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with 22 Premier Cru climats, including the famous "Les Peuillets" climat. Situated on clay-limestone soil with hard Callovian limestone subsoils known as "dalle nacrée" (pearly slab), the "Les Peuillets" Premier Cru parcel borders the Beaune appellation, at an average altitude of 250 meters. Planted on gently sloping hillsides, the plot faces south-southeast, providing ideal sunshine for fruit ripening.

A Côtes de Beaune at the right price. Pleasant and fruity, very easy to drink. A mature wine that can still be cellared for 2 or 3 years.
