The volnay appellation covers an area of 206 hectares, 118 of which are classified as premier cru. Delicate and elegant, volnay wines were already on the table of louis xiv. Volnay's fine wines are considered feminine, suave and subtle.
Everything is beautiful in this 1989 vintage, except for some high-yield enthusiasts whose wines have passed their prime. The finest bottles of red are to be found in pauillac, saint julien, pessac léognan and saint emilion.
