The winemaker

Located on the Côté des Blancs, the estate has seen 4 generations of winemakers. The estate was founded thanks to the audacity of Alfred Bonville, who bought land ravaged by phylloxera. The road ahead was a difficult one, but the estate succeeded in establishing itself. The current winemaker, Olivier Bonville, is taking an ecological approach to the vineyard, continuing the work begun by his predecessors. He creates an authentic Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru d'Avize.


It was at the beginning of the XXᵉ century that Alfred Bonville bought his first parcels of land. Joined by his son Franck in the 1930s, the estate developed, expanded and modernized. Today, it's the 4thᵉ generation of enthusiasts who are taking up the torch, with a focus on reasoned farming that gives up nothing to quality.

Frank Bonville champagne cuvées faithfully express the richness of an authentic, mineral terroir. It allows the Chardonnay to reveal aromatic power and refinement. These champagnes, characterized by a brioche-like taste, reveal finesse and freshness on the palate. They are perfect for an aperitif or to accompany a meal.

Cuvées are available in white or rosé, brut and extra brut, under the appellations Grand Cru, Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc, Grand Cru Oger Blanc de Blanc. The house also offers vintages with excellent ageing potential and great aromatic richness.
