The winemaker

Yves Leccia fell into wine as a child. Son, grandson and great-grandson of winegrowers, his passion for vines and wine comes from a family tradition. His career began with studies in oenology, which he put into practice when he took over the family estate in the 1980s. But Yves Leccia had greater ambitions, and wanted to set up his own vineyard. He did so in 2005 with the help of his wife, Sandrine.

Today, the estate stretches over 15 hectares in the Patrimonio appellation. The winemaker concentrates on 5 grape varieties: Vermentinu, Niellucciu, Grenache, Ugni Blanc and Biancu Gentile. The vineyard benefits from a hillside terroir on which the vines can fully express themselves. Yves Leccia insists on using traditional working methods, avoiding the use of herbicides as much as possible.
