In a few words ...

In 2006, pauline and géraud fromont, a young couple in their thirties with degrees in oenology and originally from franche-comté, took over ten hectares of vines in the south-revermont region. They opted for organic farming, certified in 2013, and minimal intervention in winemaking. From the outset, the wines have shown themselves to be vigorous and healthy, reflecting the beautiful terroirs of this southern Jura region in full renaissance. Consistency is now a given, within a range that covers all Jura specialties and illustrates itself in each of them with disconcerting ease. The naturalness and depth of taste of the cuvées presented in the latest vintages never cease to amaze us. The future of the Jura is being written here. The cuvée en levrette from domaine les marnes blanches is made from 50-year-old Chardonnay vines planted on gryphae-containing limestone soils. Hand-harvested, vinified with alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in 500-liter demi-muids, using indigenous yeasts and without racking. Aged 12 months in demi-muids, very lightly sulfured at bottling. The wine's nose reveals superb notes of granny smith apples, lemons and spices.
