The winemaker

The village of Ribaute is bordered by the Orbieu river, on the road to Lagrasse and the sites of the Cathar country. The Domaine is a 9-hectare estate with several activities to its credit: its core business, of course, is viticulture and the creation of organic wines. But also, a craft brewery to develop Corbières beers of course! The Domaine's walls also house two guest rooms and an eco-gîte, inaugurated in 2012. Occasionally, a table d'hôte service is offered with produce from the kitchen garden! Protecting the flora and fauna in their vineyards, but also in their vegetable garden where hops are grown to make beer, olive trees and saffron is essential. Preserving the ecosystem is a philosophy for the Domaine's founders. Their approach is based on permaculture. Permaculture was an obvious choice for them, as it involves designing crops and living spaces that are self-sufficient and respectful of the environment and living beings. A plant bazaar that isn't a bazaar at all, with plants, trees and ivy growing side by side in harmony. Shade for a plant provided by ivy, plants of the same family next to each other... Far from being a straightforward story, Sylvie started out as a laboratory technician who specialized in oenology a few years later, but nothing predestined her to become a winemaker. Not so Laurent, her husband, who was born among the vines. In a way, he fell into the pot, or rather the vat... To date, we offer 3 ranges of our wines on TWIL: signature range, prestige range and 100% range.
