The winemaker

The cellar of Roquebrun established in 1968, is located in the Regional Park of Haut Languedoc, 30 km north of Béziers between the two regional capitals Montpellier and Toulouse. Roquebrun enjoys a unique microclimate for orange cultivation, lemon, mandarin trees in the ground, that produce citrus harvest for local consumption. This softness earned Roquebrun being presented as "Little Nice of the Hérault" and is a tourist mecca of the Orb Valley. The mild climate, but relatively arid, acidic soils associated with shale allow a particular development of different varieties of the appellation Saint-Chinian, including Carignan, ancient grape that claims its place in the arid hills, just as the Grenache, also present a long time. Syrah and Mourvèdre, for other types of settlements, leaving explode their aromatic potential for the development of products of a quality and a recognized typicality. We produce Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée Saint-Chinian, Coteaux du Languedoc, and since 2004, the wines Appellation Saint-Chinian-Roquebrun, thus materializing our typicality.
