The winemaker

Maison Castel is the story of a great intuition, of a beautiful idea that has its roots in the origins of the CASTEL company, when, right from the start, the 9 Castel brothers and sisters wanted to go beyond borders. They were convinced that quality wines could be made in France and made accessible to everyone, here and around the world. So they founded their wine trading company in 1949. Maison Castel has selected the best plots in three departments of the Pays d'Oc PGI. Maison Castel observes, analyzes and tastes the grapes from each plot on an almost daily basis to determine the best harvest date. Committed to sustainable, eco-responsible viticulture through Terra Vitis certification, Maison Castel's ambition is to share the taste of things well done. Through the authentic character of our wines, but also by sharing a certain art of living. Instead of the complexity that often accompanies a tasting, Maison Castel prefers naturalness and spontaneity. The wines are contemporary, relaxed and out of the ordinary, inspiring extraordinary moments.
