Terroir characteristics


Mas de la Séranne is located on a terroir characterized by its soil of red limestone, cailloutis, galets roulés and yellow sandy-limono-clay marl. The estate also benefits from a micro-climate where temperature variations between day and night can exceed 20°C in summer. This phenomenon allows the grapes to ripen slowly and develop their flavors, producing highly aromatic wines.

Characteristics of Mas de la Séranne


Mas de Séranne is located in the village of Aniane, 70 meters above sea level. To blend its AOC Terrasse du Larzac red wines, it cultivates the following grape varieties: grenache, syrah, mourvèdre, carignan and cinsault. Other grape varieties used in the production of white wines include Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, Macabeu, Piquepoul, Viognier and Roussanne. A further 2 hectares are dedicated to the cultivation of various Italian, Greek and ancient late grape varieties. The estate also produces organic olive oil.

The wines of Mas de la Séranne


Mas de la Séranne produces 9 wines. Its Terrasses du Larzac PDO red wines include "Bonaventura", "Antonin" and "Louis", as well as "Clos des immortelles". He also makes two other AOP Languedoc red wines: "Les griottiers" and "À l'ombre du figuier". As a white wine, it produces the AOP Languedoc "Les ombelles" and as a rosé, the IGP Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert "Sous les micocouliers". Finally, Mas de la Séranne markets a Vin de France sparkling rosé called "Buvez-Bullez".
