The winemaker

The first writings date back to the 15th century. It was the descendants of the Spanish nobleman François de Bruc who wrote the main pages. At the head of this monument for 352 years, they prospered until the French Revolution, when the Château was completely burnt down! Rebuilt on its own ruins, the château finally changed hands. Its stones and land were sold shortly after the First World War. In 1922, Auguste Sautejeau bought the estate and transformed it into a vast winegrowing operation, integrated since 2007 into the Castel Family of Châteaux and Domaines.
