The winemaker

In 2012, the terroirs of Cravant les Coteaux gave Clothilde Pain the opportunity to create, discover and promote the surprising aromatic potential of Chinon wines. Her five hectares of vines have the strength and character to submit to the daring, offbeat cuvées of this passionate thirty-something. To be different is to succeed in imposing one's name, to create one's own type of wine, to have an identity at the heart of Chinon's 200 winegrower-producers. Domaine Clothilde PAIN set itself apart right from its first harvest in 2012. The key to success lies in achieving the optimum ripeness required to produce a Cabernet Franc that is qualitative, easy-drinking and fruity. Aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry and violet are just waiting to express themselves.
