On January 1, 2012, Domaine de la Cotelleraie was awarded organic status. For Gérald Vallée, a passionate craftsman, this award was greeted with an outpouring of joy. He has been working in the vineyards for almost 20 years, and is recognized as one of the finest craftsmen of Cabernet franc.
The wines of Domaine de la Cotelleraie
On average, the vines on this vineyard are 35 years old. After more than three decades of gorging themselves on the riches of the Saint Nicolas de Bourgeuil vineyard, they are exquisite. The gravelly soil is omnipresent and the tannins are soft. Long on the palate, Bordeaux wines are flattering, gourmand and sublime with red meats.
