It was in Anjou, in the heart of the Loire Valley, lies the Domain Terrebrune. As much known for its sweetness for its vineyards, Anjou offers the most diverse range of wine of the Loire Valley, in colors and flavors: dry or soft rosés, reds or soft bodied, dry or sweet white wines of course, sparkling wines. Our vineyard of 57 hectares spread over the municipalities of Notre Dame d'Allençon, Luigné Thouarcé, Vauchrétien and Brissac, the most beautiful Angevin territories. The winemaker

A Loire Valley estate

The Terrebrune estate took root in 1986 in the heart of the Loire Valley, at Notre Dame d'Allençon in Anjou. The vineyard covers 55 hectares and produces red, rosé and white wines.

Specialized in the production of sweet wines (Coteaux du Layon, Bonnezeaux, Coteaux d'Aubance), the domain cultivates its vines on hillsides in late harvest. The king grape variety of the vineyard is, as in the region, the Chenin. The latter, aka the Pinot de la Loire, favors the vinification of mellow white wines, powerful in the mouth and giving off floral aromas.

For the making of red wines, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are used, which lend themselves equally well to the production of supple, fruity wines as well as rich, full-bodied wines.

For rosés, Grolleau and Gamay are in the spotlight, thanks to their fruity, fresh and citrusy notes. When blended, they give both tender rosés on the English candy and dry and lively rosés.

The vineyard here favors regional grape varieties so that the vine and the terroir achieve the best harmony. In addition, the estate has the High Environmental Value certification, a sign of the commitment of its winemakers in the preservation of the terroirs and the surrounding nature.

The wines

The Coteaux du Layon offers a light color that darkens with age. On the nose, there is a bouquet of yellow fruits, honey and flowers. On the palate, the wine is long and fragrant, with yellow fruits, honey and a nice fatty substance. Typical Chenin, there is also a little tension that brings an elegant balance.

The Cabernet d'Anjou stands out with its salmon pink color and fruity nose with a raspberry and red currant bouquet. On the palate, we find an aromatic and fruity wine, elegant and round, it offers a balanced and refreshing matter.

The vintage Anjou Rouge "collection n°1" displays a dress with bright ruby reflections and a nose of red fruits. Its round and tender matter, balanced between silky tannins and balsamic aromas.
