The winemaker

It was under the influence of Peter II of Bourbon and Anne de Beaujeu, daughter of Louis XI, that was born the vineyard. He grew thanks to a colony of Auvergne installed by the Prince of Conde ... In 1860 it extends over 300 hectares. In 1992, he was rehabilitated on 15 hectares Riousse as a SCEA more than 500 shareholders who entrust exploitation leased in 2007 to EARL Domaine des Hesperides, led by Gérard Wastyne, winemaker for over 30 years.   Since April 2015, the seat and the Hesperides Domain are transferred to the vault VEURDRE. The vineyard is located on the slopes of the Allier Valley, and is currently primarily of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A new direction is in place, based on quality provided by the planting of French vineyards in free kicks, not grafted.   The proximity of the Allier causes the rapid onset of Grains Nobles at the time of maturity thus giving a clayey sandstone soil its exceptional typicality.   The First World War begins its decline: the hybrid varieties and consolidation will give him the coup de grace.
