The winemaker

The oldest vines at Domaine du Clos Roussely are almost 80 years old. Some are tended by horse. The clay-limestone terroir combined with the temperate climate reveal all the flavors of Sauvignon Blanc. This grape variety accounts for 80% of the estate's surface area. The other grape varieties are Pineau d'Aunis, Cabernet Franc, Garnay and Côt. Most of the grapes are harvested by hand.
